Alkemi International (previously Marketing for the Web Pty Ltd) was established in 1997 when CEO Nathan Stewart saw that the future of effective internet marketing would be see a greater focus on customer centric websites optimised for search engines.
With a focus on business profitability and website efficiencies, Nathan and a small team based in Prahran, Victoria Australia established Australia's second search engine optimisation company. At a time many of Alkemi's clients were building websites without themselves even having Internet access, Alkemi provided direction and strategy to ensure online success. At the time, search engines and directories like Altavista, Lycos, Yahoo and Inktomi dominated market share and today's powerhouse - Google - was being run out of a garage (see picture).
Alkemi unique customer focused approach quickly saw them build a strong client base, with high profile clients including Rene Rivkin, Sigma Pharmaceuticals, and Accor Hotel Chain.
Today, Alkemi has offices in Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand and has built strong working relationships with hundreds of delighted customers.
